Dry Creek Saddlery is a family run business located near Marquette, Manitoba, Canada. Dry Creek is situated on a century-old farm that has been in the Tully family as a farm and cattle ranch for 106 years.
Dry Creek is a retail business. We create and sell hand made saddles, tack, leather goods, hand made silver items, and we have a dealership for Fast Back ropes and their products. We also do leather repairs. Dry Creek originated from Barrie's winter hobby. He began making tack for our own use in the basement of our house. Eventually the demand led to the need for a separate building to house the tools and inventory. Dry Creek Saddlery was formed in 2005.
All members of our immediate family ride and compete in some discipline of the horse industry. Barrie rode for the PFRA for 15 years. We still move our cattle on horseback today and use the equipment we build. The family farm was also a PMU operation, housing up to 170 horses for 12 years. Barrie calf-roped and still team ropes competitively. He has frequented the CCA, MRCA, MTRA and Wrangler Ropings.
The rest of the family includes: Lori who has barrel raced for many years and showed horses as a youth; and daughter, Megan, a competitive barrel racer, who qualified for the MRCA Finals Rodeo at age 11 and is currently learning to team-rope and start young horses.
As you can see, we have many years of practical use of tack in a variety of horse related events. We have used leather tack to make a living and know what works and what breaks. It is our guarantee at Dry Creek that we use whatever we sell. |
